"Aint no way for me to love you, if you won't let me" Aretha sang those words and I feel that her Goddaughter, Whitney, lived it. She did not allow many to get through her dungeon of demons. She would come out and shine bright but the hounds of hell would pull her back. I believe, like so many others, that she tried and tried. How does her family move forward? Bobbi Kristina has to be protected. Protected from the devils, the dawgs, the unworthy people who will attempt to abuse or use. Her father may have good intentions but, he lives in a house of cards that are tumbling. BB is who he is and I would not be surprised if he transcends sooner rather than later. I do not wish that on him or his family but he was tied to Whitney in healthy and unhealthy ways.
Cissy lost the daughter of her heart and on this V-day a heavy heart is what she has and her faith. Faith to see her through the next journey. When you have given all that you can give, loved as hard as you can, trusted all that you can. then HE becomes the answer to all of your prayers, wishes, guidance and healing. As Cissy moves forward she will have to truly put Bobbi Kristina in the hands of God to guid and protect her.
Goodbye sweet Princess, goodnight to you. As your eyes closed and your heart stopped HE was the answer for you. Walk with HIM, sing for HIM await everyone else's arrival as an angel who did her best and when your best was not good enough HE brought you home.
